CBC 2011 Overview

Greetings NBLSA Members,

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site. Here you will find hotel and transportation information, a list of panels and workshops that further NBLSA's 2011-2012 initiatives, and invitations for several NBLSA CBC Weekend events.

This year's CBC-ALC theme is "iLead | iServe." The conference engages more than 12,000 officials, business and industry leaders, community leaders, media, emerging leaders, and everyday Americans in policy forums and general sessions. To learn more about CBC, click here.

NBLSA members will be provided with numerous opportunities to further NBLSA's legacy of empowerment in legislative advocacy. Students can attend the judiciary forum with Representative Robert "Bobby" Scott and other panels and workshops on issues of importance to the Black community. Students can also advocate for reforms in Environmental Justice at the town hall meeting and network with other law students and young professionals at the Black Professional Network and CLEO Happy Hour. On Friday night, students can honor the contributions of Congressional Black Caucus members at NBLSA's Eighth Annual CBC Reception at City Club of Washington. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about NBLSA's CBC Weekend events.

We look forward to seeing you in Washington, DC!
