42nd Annual National Convention: Reclaiming the Promise of the Black Lawyer

NBLSA will host its 42nd Annual National Convention in Boston from March 10-14, 2010. The convention provides a wonderful opportunity for delegates to connect with other chapters, perform community service, and participate in enriching workshops as well as mock trial, moot court, and international negotiations competitions. National Elected Officers

The deadline to submit a National Board application has been extended to March 6, 2010. Email your application to elections@nblsa.org today!

The NBLSA Elections Committee has released the 2010 National Convention Election Rules and Procedure Packet. The following NBLSA board positions are available for election*:

  • National Chair
  • National Vice Chair
  • National Secretary
  • National Treasurer
  • National Director of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition
  • National Director of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition
  • National Director of Community Service
  • National Director of Programming
  • National Attorney General

National Appointed Officers

All persons interested in being appointed to the NBLSA National Board should attend an information session on Sunday, March 14, 2010. The time will be announced at the convention. The following appointed positions are available:

  • National Director of Communication
  • National Director of Corporate Relations
  • National Director of Membership
  • National Director of Education
  • National Financial Secretary
  • National Convention Coordinator
  • National Parliamentarian
  • National Director of Academic Retreat
  • National Historian
  • National College Student Division Director
  • National Director of International Negotiations Competition
