Chapter Presidents of the Month
September's Chapter President of the Month is: Ashley Southerland of Cornell Law School. Ashley is being recognized for going beyond her duties as chapter president. She volunteered to represent the NEBLSA's College Student Division at the Cornell Law School Fair in September although she had no obligation to do so. Even more, she was a good sport about it all.

October's Chapter President of the Month is: Carla Reeves of Boston College. Carla is being recognized for going above and beyond her duties to ensure that there is programming that appeals to the needs of all students. She constantly initiates new programs and motivates all to be innovative. Her approach to leadership is one that fosters openness, communication and development among the entire general body. She is constantly encouraging people to get involved and be active not only in school but in the community at large. She leads by example. She encourages members to be dedicated to service and she participated in all BLSA community service events. Additionally, she encourages her members to be resources to one another and the community.

January's Chapter President of the Month is: Jonathan Ambaye of Syracuse University. Jonathan is being recognized for going above and beyond his duties to ensure that the Northeast Region had a successful convention, Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition and Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition. Jonathan, the NEBLSA executive board and the entire region applaud you for your hard work.

Membership Spotlight
Congratulations to Giovannii Ruffin of Quinnipiac University School of Law. She was accepted as a member of the Quinnipiac University Mock Trial Honor Society. She also won an award for best opening for the school's intramural mock trial competition.
