Greetings NBLSA Family!

It is an honor and privilege to serve as your 2012-2013 National Director of Education and Career Development. The Education and Career Development facet of NBLSA primarily focuses on providing tools for both academic enhancement and career exploration. Our two target areas are: (1) Academic Advancement, and (2) Non-Traditional Careers.

In an effort to "Enhance the Dream," this year we will continue with the Professional Development Series for NBLSA's membership. This includes an E-Development Podcast Series that will highlight critical areas that are important for law students to hone in on to be successful academically. In addition, we will continue our E-Consultant Series, which will allow NBLSA members to dial into a teleconference call to speak with attorneys and seek advice in developing their careers and learning more about different practice areas. We are also implementing a blog that will feature a topic of conversation for both members and attorneys to participate in.

In addition to the Professional Development Series, NBLSA will be utilizing Symplicity to alert members of scholarships, fellowships, and job opportunities. Symplicity access is one of the benefits of being a NBLSA member. Members have unlimited access to Symplicity and should log on frequently for updates. Currently, our National Career Fair Specialist, Gianni Corleone, as well as our Regional Job Fair Coordinators have been working diligently to prepare for the job fairs NBLSA will host across the country this August. Please ensure that you register via our Symplicity Website in order to participate. All financial NBLSA members are eligible to participate in all job fairs.
