Message from the RMBLSA Chair![]() Andre Bennin Dear Rocky Mountain Family! It is an honor and pleasure to serve as your Regional Chair this year. Together with my extremely talented and hard-working Regional Executive Board, we welcome you to "the Rock!" and look forward to serving each of you. This year is going to be an exciting year for RMBLSA. As future attorneys and leaders of the world, we will become more involved in our communities by not only being voices but also actual doers, "standing taller and stronger than the Rockies." Accordingly, we will implement the National theme of "A Legacy of Empowerment" by encouraging each chapter to participate in National, Regional, and their respective local initiatives. By implementing these initiatives, we will strengthen our communities wherever we are. Yet, without working together, we will not be able to stand taller and stronger than the Rockies as a region. Consequently, we invite and encourage all members to be active participants locally and regionally. Effective communication between the National board, Regional board, and local chapters is very important. Thus, we will keep our members updated through the regional webpage on the NBLSA website, newsletters, and other social networking websites. This year's programming continues the focus on personal and professional development of our members. Our first program of the year will be the Job Fair and Academic Retreat Weekend hosted by South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX, September 3rd and 4th respectively. The dates will allow more first year law students to attend the retreat and receive valuable tools to help prepare them for the rigors of law school. Further, because the date is early in the semester, we look forward to seeing more of our members in attendance. This upcoming year's Regional Convention will take place during the second week of February in San Antonio, TX. We are already preparing for this convention, which will provide great opportunities for members to serve, compete, network, and be edified through the various workshops. As the Rocky Mountain Region will also be the host for this year's National Convention, our Regional Convention will set the tone for both conventions by showcasing the talent and support of our members. My dear Rocky Mountain family, words cannot express my excitement for this year. I express my gratitude to all of you for granting me the wonderful opportunity to serve you. I can hardly wait to meet each and every one of you. Please feel free to contact me or any member of the Regional Executive Board at any time if you have any questions. "BOOM!!!" In RMBLSA love, Andre Bennin |
