Message from the WRBLSA Chair

Greetings!

It is with great pleasure that the WRBLSA board welcomes the opportunity to represent, serve and support you this upcoming year in NBLSA. We have been working diligently to share with you the benefits of being a NBLSA member.

This year, WRBLSA will operate under the motto of "Coming Together for a Brighter Tomorrow." Under this motto, we will seek a region that is more unified and a region in which each and every member is prepared to succeed. With this motto and these goals in mind, WRBLSA has planned a variety of events and programs for our membership.

While the 2008 financial crisis and resulting economic downturn have created a challenging environment for law students across the country over the past two years, the truth is that this country has seen hard times before and has always weathered the storm. As with every other historical challenge that this country has faced, this too shall pass. Because this is so, WRBLSA is committed to providing programming and resources to help ensure that when the economic turnaround does occur, WRBLSA members are poised to succeed.

From our sub-regional job fairs, to our academic retreats and law school boot camps, to our 2010-2011 WRBLSA Regional Conference in Las Vegas, our events and programs will seek to unite the region while combining the realities of the present with the planning, preparation and resources needed to be successful in the future.

For those of you who have not yet become WRBLSA members, we want to encourage you to join our family. For those of you who have been active WRBLSA members, I want to thank you for your efforts and ask you to do even more: talk to your fellow classmates and reach out to students in other BLSA chapters - get them involved, be a mentor to a college student thinking about law school - serve each other. Through all of you and through this, WRBLSA will reach its full potential

We have included a calendar of events below. For more information on our events, initiatives, and programs, please contact any of our board members and be sure to visit our website, which will be consistently updated.

We look forward to meeting and serving you!

Best,
