2010 Job Fair Details
Educate. Empower. Employ. Building a Better Law Student Today for a Better Lawyer Tomorrow
We are pleased to announce that MABLSA's 2010 Job Fair, Professional Development & Leadership Series will be held from Friday, August 27 - Sunday, August 29th at the The Westin Arlington Gateway in Northern Virginia. Our participating employers are excited to meet you throughout the duration of our weekend together!
Due to requests from employers interested in meeting you, MABLSA would like to announce that we will be opening an additional session ONLY for those individuals already registered on Symplicity.
The important dates for this session are outlined below:
Employer Registration: now - August 13, 2010
Student Bidding: Now - August 13, 2010 (It is important that you check Symplicity regularly as employers will be added up until August 13, 2010)
Employer Selection: August 15 - August 19, 2010
Preselect Student Interview Selection: August 20 - 21, 2010
Alternate Student Interview Selection: August 20 - 21, 2010
Schedules Available: August 23, 2010

This year's event will kick off with A Day in the Life of a Lawyer Networking Panel & Reception on Friday night. Professional Development workshops will be added to our traditional job fair interview schedule on Saturday, which will culminate into MABLSA's First Annual Fashion Show and Emerging Leader's Connection (which will feature a Fajita Fest, Karoake Extravaganza, and Game Night).
The weekend will conclude with our annual Leadership Retreat on Sunday, which is mandatory for local MABLSA chapter executive board members. Please RSVP with Sheila at midatlanticvicechair@gmail.com.
Hotel Information
We have a lot of exciting events planned for you and we encourage everyone to join us at The Westin throughout the weekend. The Westin typically charges approximately $200 per night, however we have secured the very low rate of $109/night. To receive the low MABLSA rate you must make your hotel reservations as early as possible because once the room block is full, the rate can no longer be guaranteed. All reservations must be made no later than 5:00pm (EST) on August 13, 2010.
