Gelise Littlejohn
Cleveland-Marshall College of Law

Ms. Gelise V. Littlejohn is a third year law student who attends Cleveland-Marshall College of Law ( C|M| LAW) at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio. A Morrill Scholar, she earned her B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio after three years of attendance.

As a three year active member of the C|M|LAW BLSA Chapter, Ms. Littlejohn has served on the executive board as the Recording Secretary and is currently her chapter's President. She uses BLSA as a platform to address issues affecting the law school community and the greater community. Ms. Littlejohn has spearheaded panels on voter education, wrongful convictions, and human trafficking. She also planned a collaborative community service effort with the University of Akron School of Law and Case Western Reserve University School of Law BLSA chapters at Eliza Bryant Village, a nursing home founded by the daughter of a freed slave.

During her first and second year of law school, Ms. Littlejohn recognized that students rarely have an opportunity to meet members of the judiciary. "BLSA Meets the Bench" was born from that observation. She planned this first-of-its-kind networking event at Pura Vida by Brandt, resulting in the creation of an intimate environment where local judges and magistrates could converse with BLSA members about school, law, and life.

Ms. Littlejohn is currently a Research Assistant for the C|M|LAW Center for Health Law and Policy and a Product Advocate for Bloomberg Law. She exercises her event planning and marketing acumen in both positions. Ms. Littlejohn graduates in May 2013 and will move to Los Angeles, California to study for the July 2013 bar exam. A Summer 2012 graduate of the Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy, she is pursuing her goal of becoming a preeminent entertainment law attorney.
