Speakers Bureau

For over 40 years, the National Black Law Students Association has been a leading advocate for diversity and inclusion in law schools across the nation. Our members are not only talented law students, but also involved community advocates. Our alumni are among the most talented and respected legal practitioners and are active and influential community leaders.

Our executive leadership team, comprised entirely of law students, is dedicated to living life with purpose. NBLSA's leaders are tireless advocates for change who represent today's most talented law students and tomorrow's most dynamic lawyers.

The NBLSA Speakers Program sends current NBLSA leaders to speak at luncheons, receptions, annual dinners and other special events. Members of our executive board have visited local chapters, college campuses, and conferences to share their experiences and to speak on a variety of topics including leadership, juvenile justice, preparing for law school, women in society, student advocacy, time management, and networking. Please use our speaker request form to invite our student leaders to a speaking engagement. If you have any questions about our speakers program, please contact speakers@nblsa.org.

Obtaining A Speaker

  • The speaker request form helps us find the appropriate speaker for your event. Specifying your topic (e.g., networking, leadership in law school) is greatly appreciated. While you may request a specific speaker, NBLSA's speakers are all charismatic individuals who will help make your event a success.
  • Please try to request a speaker at least 30 days in advance of your event. Earlier requests are encouraged and appreciated. This helps us ensure your requested speaker's availability as well as provides you with ample time to publicize your event.
  • NBLSA does not accept fees for speaking engagement, so we kindly ask that any honoraria be donated directly to NBLSA. Should a request require a NBLSA speaker to stay overnight, NBLSA asks that the requesting organization cover all travel and lodging expenses.
