Dear Future Colleague is always searching for law school mentors to join DFC, and we have an incredible event coming up for all of our DFC mentors and current law school students. On April 11th at 3:00pm EST, Edelson PC is hosting a virtual workshop on all the different pathways that a law degree can open up for you. Even more exciting – Edelson and their team are offering all workshop attendees the opportunity to schedule a full-length mock interview in the month following the workshop. This is a great way to prepare for OCI, to hone your interview and resume-building skills, and to network with an established plaintiff’s firm. You can register for this event by making an account on dearfuturecolleague.org and signing up to be a mentor. We match on a weekly basis per mentee needs, so it may be a bit before you get matched, but you’ll still be eligible to attend the event whether or not you currently have a mentee. In addition to the Edelson workshop and other events, we also offer our mentors who have completed a three-month mentorship relationship a $250 Themis Bar Prep discount. Mentors who are underrepresented per our indicators listed above and who apply are also eligible for Themis scholarships.
